Invitations for the Papal Mass taking place in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow are being made available to every parish in Scotland to enable as many parish communities to participate as possible. Invitations are also being made available to the dioceses of Lancaster and Hexham and Newcastle and to Ireland.

As part of the diocesan preparations for the Papal Visit, a day entitled "Why do we have a pope and bishops? - The Teaching Authority of the Church" will be held in St Paul's church hall, Ayr, on Saturday 4th September, from 11.30am until 3.00pm. Presenter will be Fr William McFadden.
